Privacy Policy

 This policy sets out how we collect and protect the privacy of your personal information under the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act). The National Privacy Principals (NPPs) ARE located at www.privacy.gov.au. We collect and store personal information about you (names, mailing addresses, contact details etc…) so we may conduct our business, market our business and meet our legal reporting obligations. External services providers, such as IT consultants have access to electronic information retained by us. In addition to collecting information directly from you we also collect information from third parties, including through credit reporting businesses, publically maintained registers and other sources such as use of our website (which may lead to your personal information being retained by us via the use of cookies, web bugs or other means). The information we may collect and hold includes but is not limited to personal information about, clients, business associates and potential clients, suppliers, prospective employees, employees and contractors; and other people who we come into contact with from time to time.

 We may use and disclose your personal information for the primary purpose for which it is collected, for reasonably expected secondary purposes which are related to the primary purpose and in other circumstances authorised by the Privacy Act.

 In general, we use and disclose your personal information for the following purposes: to conduct our business, to provide and market our services, to communicate with you, to purchase from you, to comply with our legal obligations and to help us manage and enhance our services.

 We may disclose your personal information to other companies or individuals who assist us in providing services or who perform functions on our behalf (such as our suppliers) or anyone else to whom you authorise us to disclose it.

 Some personal information which we collect is ‘sensitive information’. Sensitive information includes information relating to a person’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, trade union or other professional or trade association membership, sexual preferences and criminal record, that is also personal information and health information about an individual.

 Sensitive information will be used and disclosed only for the purpose for which it was provided or a directly related secondary purpose, unless you agree otherwise, or where certain other limited circumstances apply (eg, where required by law).

 We endeavour to ensure that the personal information held is accurate, complete and up-to-date. We encourage you to contact us in order to update any personal information we hold about you. Subject to the exceptions set out in the Privacy Act, you may gain access to the personal information which we hold about you by contacting us. We will require you to verify your identity and to specify what information you require.

 If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us please let us know in a written document that sufficiently identifies you and your specific request not to receive direct marketing communications.

 We endeavour to operate in accordance with the Best Practice requirements for information management laid down by the Privacy Commissioner.  We respect your right to privacy and we acknowledge the trust that you have placed in Us.  The Privacy Commissioner has never had any reason to be concerned about our management of information and we would like to keep it that way.  With this in mind, if you wish to discuss any privacy or personal information related matters with us please contact us.
